Abstract
Who am I? Why do I establish my blog? And what can you find in "My_Elliot"?
Who am I?
My name is Zhang Weiping (Elliot), year 4 student in Xi’an Jiaotong University majoring in biology. Besides Mandarin, I grew up with Hakka, a unique dialect in China partially similar to Cantonese in both pronunciation and intonation, which is mainly used in southeastern China and can also be found in virtually all the overseas Chinese colony. I am a supporter of Manchester United. Although currently the Old Trafford seems unreachable for me, one of my dreams is to fly to the UK and chant for the red devils on the pitch.

Why do I establish my blog?
To record something. I will directly do my PhD program in Tsinghua right after receiving the BSc in Xi’an Jiaotong. As a PhD student, a plethora of chores in either life or work will definitely bother me a lot, thus keeping stuffs on note may help me overcome the natural decline of memory curve. Once they are noted and archived well, the reproducibility and reliability of my work will be enhanced.
To prove something. Usually, people have stereotypical images of biology student’s behaviors, they deem we are, for instance, diligent persons being less intelligent but possessing relatively better memory, dwellers in wet lab all the time with our boring lab coats on, doctors or pharmacists without professional licenses, etc… Not all the tags are wrong, but I still feel offended as being categorized and labeled just like the man-made. By looking around my friends, even without rigorous statistics can I say that we biology students seem to be inferior in coding compared with other STEM students. To make me distinctive and let the project more applicable, I ultimately decide to create a repository in Github to deploy my personal blog on it. I have every confidence that it worths a try, hence even though it might be a though job I still feel like it.
